road haulage industry by its very nature has a
negative impact on the environment. The Bartrum
Group sees it as part of our social
responsibility to minimise this impact as far as
possible.
To achieve this we only run modern vehicles,
which conform to the European communities most
demanding levels of exhaust emissions.
All these vehicles have sophisticated exhaust
systems designed to minimise the production of
Nitrogen Oxide and Dioxide, whilst also
minimizing the release of particles into the
environment.
All of our drivers are trained to drive smoothly
and efficiently to improve fuel consumption,
hence reducing emissions whilst also reducing
cost.
Trumbar Truck Care ensure that all vehicles are
maintained to the highest standards, with checks
on tyre pressures and other key factors which
improve fuel efficiency, and are carried out
regularly on a proactive basis.
Our Pallet Truck trunk trailers are all double
deck trailers with sloping fronts to reduce wind
resistance and improve fuel consumption. The
use of double deck trailers reduces the amount
of trunk vehicles required
on the road.
All of our vehicles are fitted with Global Live
vehicle trackers, this helps our transport
managers to allocate work to vehicles in the
best location and reduces empty running and
improves efficiency.
