How the Pallet Distribution network works

Our Pallet distribution network is a national and international delivery network.

The Pallet distribution network is made up of over 100 delivery depots located across the UK and various partners across Europe.

Each UK depot operates within a designated postcode area.

This reduces the distance covered by each delivery vehicle.

Goods are collected by vehicles from your local depot, collections are made up to 17:00hrs each night for delivery for next-day delivery.

They are then trunked to our national distribution centre in Wolverhampton.

The Titan distribution centre covers over 267,000 sq-ft and receives trunk vehicles from every depot in the UK.

Each collecting depot sends on average between four or five trunk vehicles to the hub each night.

In order to maximise the amount of freight we can get on each vehicle we operate double deck trailers increasing the number of pallets on each vehicles from 26 pallets to 46 pallets.

This means that the Pallet Distribution Hub handles over 14,500 pallets each night.

The palletised freight is then consolidated and sorted on to the destination trunk vehicle.

In order to ensure each pallet arrives at the correct destination, pallet track use the latest technology.

Each pallet is labelled with a network barcode and as the pallet passes through the network, the pallet is scanned at every stage of the journey.

This allows the network and the customer to track the consignment as it passes through the network.

Trunk vehicles arrive back to the local depot during the early hour each morning and palletised freight is then trans-shipped on to the local delivery vehicle in order to arrive at is destination as early as 09:00hrs the next-day.
